How can I become a doctoral candidate? What is the method of selection?
After handing in the proposal, you will get the opportunity to present it in a pitch. After the pitch, the proposal can be revised. The final version will be judged by four reviewers.

Are there fixed dates to apply?
The Ph.D. programme has a "rolling admissions" policy: projects and Ph.D. proposals might be submitted at any time. 

Are there possibilities to be funded in this programme?
The programme does not offer funding, but various other funding options can be used, like DAAD scholarshipExterner Link or DFG grantExterner Link.
