A thank-you letter from a high court judge? Approved.

One of our professors launched a digitalisation pilot-project which granted students access to the archives of the Johannesburg High Court and was an experience with the nature of a gift that keeps on giving - I very much enjoyed my fellow co-workers, the staff from the offices and the archive, as well as the journey to - and from Johannesburg with a silent compliment to the walks through the citiy streets.

When Offline is the new cool

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic in 2019, we have dreamed of coming back outside our homes to enjoy a different working environment.

There are numerous Buffets and Caffes where one can work during the day as we have done on numerous occasions as a group of international students who spend much time together despite the odds.

However, when it comes to studying, there is one place where I feel the best.

It is the library.

Eat at the campus!

The University produces whole squadres of professional sportsmen of world-format - this year, although South Africa suffered i.a. lockdowns, lootings, 34% unemployment rate, and a world-wide travel embargo, the Mamelodi Sundowns became the continental champions of the CAF Women's Champions LeagueExterner Link heading to FIFA Women's Club World Cup next year.

Therefore, nutrition is paramount.

At the main Campus, there are at least five places to eat out (including a terraces and in-house serving areas) and the menus vary widely. The prices are impressively low in support the students. Besides, various other places offer a quick snack or a coffee made of coffee-beans. There are many places one can get free drinkable water to stay hydrated during the summer heat. We also enjoy the Tuks Residences' Catering.Externer Link
