Good communication is key
We successfully tested the data exchange between the campus management system HISinOne and the nationwide study information and application portal hochschulstart.deExternal link in an in-house simulation in the course of the implementation of the APP product area (see Information on subproject 1. The following contents had to be tested:
- transfer of range of study programmes to hochschulstart.de
- master data retrieval from hochschulstart.de
- synchronization of applications between the APP product are at the University of Jena and hochschulstart.de
- transfer of student file packages to hochschulstart.de
- transfer of generated and filled ranking lists to hochschulstart.de
After this successful test, the next steps in sub-project 1 (APP) will be a university-wide simulation with hochschulstart.de as well as internal tests, before we will go live with phase 3 (see project schedule).
