Again this year, the Siegfried Czapski Publication Prize is announced by the Jena Alliance of Graduate Schools. It honours contributions by doctoral researchers or postdocs with an interdisciplinary focus in the university profile lines LIGHT and LIFE and that have been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal of international quality.
The prize is named after Siegfried CzapskiExternal link (1861-1907) who was a German physicist. As a close companion of Ernst Abbe, he made a major contribution to the publication of fundamental works in physics. He was also one of the first representatives of the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
The Prize is endowed with 2,000 EUR of prize money. Supervisors who are in one of the Jena Alliance Graduate Schools can nominate publications by early-career researchers until July 15. You can find the announcement here.
