Academic Controlling, Planning, and Statistics (ACPS)

In accordance with the German Higher Education Statistics Act (HStatG), the Staff Unit must collect student and exam data, and report them to the Thuringian Office for Statistics each semester. This data are not only the basis for compiling the student and exam data, they also enable an allocation of funds within the University taking current indicators into account.

As part of our services, we calculate figures for the University's management, faculties, and the Office for Resource Management. In addition, we determine values required for the operative control at the level of faculties and study programmes, for example, admission capacity.

Our tasks also comprise answering internal and external requests related to student and graduate statistics. Lastly, we interpret the figures thus providing, firstly, a control and management instrument of the University and, secondly, indicators of its resource and infrastructure development.
