On World Water Day: Speed Dating with Science
We cordially invite you to "Speed Searching" on March 22, 2023 from 12:00-14:00 in the foyer of the Mensa Ernst-Abbe-Platz.
Speed Searching is a new format of science communication where researchers present their topic and answer questions from the guests. After 10 minutes of conversation, visitors move on to the next researcher. So it's like speed dating, but with science.
As the annual World Water Day takes place on March 22, Jena focuses on the topic of water and sustainability in all its facets. The following projects and research areas are represented:
- Special research area AquaDiva of the University of Jena - Influence of water on ecology
- Working group Advanced water technology of the University of Jena, Thuringian Water Innovation Cluster (ThWIC) - Measurement of water quality and pollutants in water
- Project DRYvER, Chair of Geoinformatics at the University of Jena - Drying rivers and its consequences for water ecology
- BMBF junior research group "flumen" of the University of Jena - Bioeconomy and social mentalities in transformation
- Green Office and Climate Protection Manager of the University of Jena - Sustainability at the University of Jena
Speed Searching is a Europe-wide event that takes place at the same time in five other cities. These are part of the European University Alliance EC2U, of which the University of Jena is also a member.
