The University of Jena will host the 6th EC2U Forum - Engage in the Community of Action!

From 23.5. to 25.5.2023, Friedrich Schiller University will be host to the 6th EC2U Forum, welcoming students, teachers, researchers and administrators from the Universities of Coimbra (Portugal), Iaşi (Romania) Pavia (Italy), Poitiers (France), Salamanca (Spain) and Turku (Finland) as well as representatives of the seven partner cities in Jena. The student program begins one day before the rest of the Forum, 22.05.2023.

The EC2U University Alliance is a Community of Action: Experience a dynamic forum with interactive and interdisciplinary events where you can contribute and actively participate in shaping a united Europe.

The Community of Action is a joint action of EC2U, the University of Jena Health Management for Students and Employees and Uni-Sport. The main topics of the week are based on a holistic understanding of sustainability in the sense of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Together with our European partners, we are working towards healthy universities, healthy cities and a healthy world.

Four places in the Jena delegation available!

Enrolled students of the University of Jena are invited to apply for a place in the Jena delegation for the Forum. Have a good time in an international team and gain many new experiences while working together to build a sustainable, healthy and European campus.

  • Who? Bachelor and Master students of all disciplines.
  • What? Participate in the 6th EC2U Forum (events on specific topics, workshops, sporting activities, teamwork and much more) and write a short experience report afterwards. The event language is English.
  • Where? At different locations in Jena
  • When? From 22.5. to 25.5.2023
  • How? Apply by 25 April 2023 with a letter of motivation via email to ec2u@uni-jena.de. The letter of motivation should be written in English and include the following information:
  1. Field of study
  2. Current semester
  3. Tell about your motivation to participate in the 6th EC2U Forum and what you can contribute to it.
  4. Explain how student engagement is important from your perspective and tell us about your experiences in this regard.

Selected applicants will be notified by 30 April 2023.
