Many international students will come to Jena in autumn and spring. Not all of them will get a room in a student dormitory. Some will face great difficulties in finding a room: if they arrive in October, if they study an English-taught Masters programme and therefore have only very basic or no German skills, and if they have not got a social network in Jena yet. Sometimes they do not know where to stay even for the first nights. And all hostels und cheaper hotels will be overbooked.
