Teaching is one of the core tasks of Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Teaching is highlighted as an important area of strategic university development because of the adoption of the "Strategy 2025 - Teaching". And indeed, there is a lot going on in teaching at the Friedrich Schiller University about which there is news to report and learn:

The mini-series is continued on the topic of 'teaching interdisciplinary competences in studies'. After the interviews in the last two issues were dedicated to teaching skills in science communication and skills in dealing with data, the current issue asks Prof. Dr. Kai Totsche from the Faculty of Chemical and Geosciences how skills in scientific work can be taught in the degree programme. As usual, the interview can be found in the Teaching INQUIRY de section.

The degree programme review has been rolled out to all degree programmes at the university as a new element in the university's own quality development system since January 2022. The first on-site meetings took place with the external reviewers in spring 2023. You can get an impression of how the talks went under Teaching IN DIALOGUE de.
