Psychologist Juhi Parmar successful at the European final of the Three-Minute-Thesis-Competition

The winner of the Jena Three-Minute-Thesis-Competition, Juhi Parmar, reached second place at the European final of all Coimbra universities. She shared second place with Michaela Raab from the University of Edinburgh. First place was won by Ida Cecilie Jensen of Aarhus University.

Juhi Parmar had won both the jury prize and the audience prize in Jena. Her presentation was titled "Will the real Puppet Master please stand up? Understanding priming processes." In a Europe-wide vote of all Coimbra Group universities, the video of her presentation was selected for the final. The final took place on June 01 during the Coimbra annual conference in Cologne. This second place is endowed with a prize of 1,500 euros.

The "Three Minute Thesis®" is an internationally renowned competition held at over 600 universities worldwide. It was started at the University of Queensland in Australia in 2008 and brought to Europe by the Coimbra Group. The University of Jena is a member of this association of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe and therefore also participates in the competition.
