Desirée receives 1.5 million funding for her Junior research group!

Desirée joins the Nexus programme from the Carl Zeiss foundation as a junior research group leader. Her project ReAlBatt got elected by the Carl Zeiss foundation for funding starting in January 2024.

Desirée joins the Nexus programme from the Carl Zeiss foundation as a junior research group leader. Her project ReAlBatt got elected by the Carl Zeiss foundation for funding starting in January 2024. The Nexus programme funds interdisciplinary research at the interphase between different disciplines. ReAlBatt, short for “Design of carbon-derived electrode materials towards rechargeable Al-N2 batteries”, will focus on the development of a novel Li-alternative battery technology locating the project in the priority topic Resource Efficiency of the Carl Zeiss foundation.

The junior research group will soon be looking for new team members (PhD, and Postdoc positions available), who are motivated to design the batteries of tomorrow.
