Jena alumni receives prize for outstanding dissertation

Dr Charalampos (Babis) Karpouchtsis has been awarded this year's "Fritz and Helga Exner Prize"External link for outstanding dissertations in the field of Southeast European research. He completed his dissertation at Friedrich Schiller University last year. The topic of the dissertation was: "Old wounds, new foreign policy? Germany and Greek martyr communities: Between recognition and reconciliation". The prize was handed over at the annual conference of the Southeast Europe Society on 17 February by the President of the Southeast Europe Society, Manuel Sarrazin (see photo above).
