In 2024, the TMWWDG, in cooperation with the Stifterverband, will once again award up to ten "Fellowships for Innovations in Digital University Teaching in Thuringia", each endowed with up to 50,000 euros.

The call for applications states: "The teaching fellowships aim to ...

  • create incentives for the development and testing of digitally supported teaching and examination formats (for example through MOOCs, blended learning, games, simulations, e-examinations, use of AI) or the curricular redesign of modules and study sections with the consistent use of digital technologies,
  • to promote cross-university exchange on (digital) university teaching and the dissemination of the teaching innovations developed by networking the fellows and
  • to contribute to the stabilisation of digital university teaching at the universities themselves."

Applications for a fellowship can only be submitted via the university management. The university's internal application deadline is 29 April 2024 and the call for applications is aimed at lecturers working at state-funded universities in the Free State of Thuringia. The projects expected to be selected in summer 2024 will be funded over a period of 15 months, from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2025.

For interested applicants, the Stifterverband is offering an online information event on this project funding opportunity on Wednesday, 10 April 2024 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Further information on the call for proposals and the application procedure can be found on the ALe page 'External calls for proposals'.
