The University of Jena is a member of a broad range of European and other international organizations which deal with the European education, research, and innovation area as well as promote the international exchange.

The Coimbra Group is an association of long-established, multidisciplinary European universities having a high international prestige. The member universities maintain the cultural and academic exchange, and encourage the internationalization. Being a member since 1992, our university has been actively engaged in eight from eleven working groups.

Having one of 85 EURAXESS Service Centres in Germany, the Universitys Welcome Point offers support and advisory services for researchers participating in mobility programmes.
