Teaching is one of the core tasks of Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Teaching is highlighted as an important area of strategic university development because of the adoption of the "Strategy Teaching". And indeed, there is a lot going on in teaching at the Friedrich Schiller University about which there is news to report and learn:
In the interview under Teaching INQUIRED, we asked Professors Perkams and Cartarius about the current reform of teacher training. As part of the reforms, three new professorships have been established, which deal with the subject areas of inclusion, multi-professionalism and digital learning culture. Two of the three new professors are presented in the Teaching THE FUTURE section.
Since the publication of the last teaching newsletter, three further subject clusters have spent two days discussing the quality and development potential of their degree programmes with external experts as part of the degree programme review. You can find a review under Teaching IN DIALOGUE.
In addition, the panel of experts of the Academy for Teaching Development has decided which projects will be funded from the winter semester 2024/25 (Teaching EXCELLENT).
