65 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships have been acquired for committed students at Friedrich Schiller University for the 2024/25 scholarship year. They will receive 300 euros per month for one year, half of which is provided by sponsors and doubled by the federal government. A crowdfunding campaign played a major role in this record number of scholarships, in which the donations collected were doubled to 28,800 euros not only by Greenfield Technology AG and Dr Georg Greitemann from the commercial law firm POELLATH, but also by the federal government. This made it possible to award eight additional scholarships for 2024/25.

Independence thanks to the Deutschlandstipendium

The current scholarship holders of 2023/24 and sponsors came together at the university for an annual get-together. Among the guests was scholarship holder Philipp Leinenbach, who emphasized: "Above all, the Deutschlandstipendium means more independence and more opportunities for me to concentrate fully on my studies. I realize what an enormous privilege this financial security is, which is why I am all the more grateful to be part of this."

Following a round of talks, representatives of the students, sponsors and the University discussed future career prospects and ideas relating to the Deutschlandstipendium.

Friedrich Schiller University Jena has been supporting students with the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship for over ten years. To date, more than 680 talented young people have been supported and accompanied on their educational path.
