Do you have a research project in which sustainability plays a role? Then present your project to the public at the Sustainability Science Slam on 22 November 2024! Take to the stage at the Long Night of Science Jena and show what contribution you are making to securing the future! As a reward, you can expect thunderous applause from the audience and the opportunity to inspire other people for your field of expertise - and perhaps attract the students of tomorrow.
The Science Slam is organised by the Service Centre for Research and Transfer at the University of Jena with the support of the Green Office. Together, we are looking for scientists from the University of Jena who deal with sustainability from a social, economic or scientific/technological perspective. All researchers at the University of Jena can take part - whether doctoral candidates, post-docs or (junior) professors.
The Science Slam will take place as part of the Long Night of Science on 22 November 2024, probably from 18:30 - 19:30 in the lecture hall building at Carl-Zeiss-Platz 3.
In preparation, the Service Centre for Research and Transfer is offering science slam training in the form of a half-day workshop. There are also plans to shoot a video clip in which participants can present their research in a concise and appropriate way for social media formats.
Are you interested? Then please register by 3 September 2024 with an email (subject: "Science Slam 2024") to sft@uni-jena.de and state the topic of your contribution.
