Professor Nick Miles was the Provost of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) between 2010 and 2015 and led the University through a period of substantive growth from 2,000 to 6,500 students and 300 to 800 staff achieving a turnover in excess of £50 million. During his time in China he was involved in establishing the Shanghai Nottingham Advanced Academy with East China University of Science & Technology in Shanghai (2012) and the Guangdong Nottingham Advanced Finance Institute with Guangdong University of Finance (2014).
