After working in Germany and Australia, Steffen Schönhardt has been a research engineer at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology since 2020. In his role, he is involved in the research operations of a laboratory in the field of optical technologies and materials science, supervises students in the lab and contributes to publications. His work has given him a deep insight into the different organizational approaches in the daily operation of a research laboratory with different cultural backgrounds.
