"China competence" in intercultural science communication between Germany and China in the age of de-risking

The lecture will address the following questions:

  • What are the challenges for bilateral academic relations between Germany and China in the age of de-risking?
  • How has China competence been understood in the German higher education landscape so far?
  • How should the concept of China competence be adapted to the new challenges?

The lecture will last around 45 to 60 minutes, followed by a discussion and the opportunity to ask questions.

Participation is possible in presence in lecture hall 24 on the first floor of the main university building (Universitätshauptgebäude, UHG) and via Zoom.

The lecture will be held in German.
