A strong network can be crucial to a sucessfull career in industry and society. We would like to invite doctoral candidates and Postdocs to get to know different carrer options outside of academia and, at the same time, expand their network.
Four PhD-Alumni of the University of Jena talk about their career paths in industry and society in an interactive discussion format. They will answer questions about jobsearch and the daily woking life outside of academia and give advice on how to handle the transition. Later, you can continue networking while enjoying some snacks and drinks.
Registration will be possible from 15 October via the Qualification Portal.
Alumni:
Dr. Jana Kampe holds a doctorate in occupational and organizational psychology and is now employed as a consultant for occupational health management at the Zeiss Group.
Dr. Alexander Jügler holds a doctorate in Physics and is now Product Manager at Jenoptik.
Dr. Sebastian Schlegel holds a doctorate in history and is now working at the Klassikstiftung Weimar in the field of provenance research.
Dr. Sindy Frick holds a doctorate in biochemistry and is a Senior Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
