The ERASMUS+ scholarship

  • can be applied for if you have been nominated by your departmental coordinator (also applies to BAföG recipients),
  • excludes parallel funding for similar costs from funds from other EU programmes, since double funding is not possible
  • is staggered according to country groups, granted depending on the available EU funds and the final number of participants and paid in multiple instalments.
  • The calculation of the scholarship follows EU guidelines.
  • You are responsible for adequate insurance coverage.
  • The scholarship must be repaid in full if the ERASMUS + rules are violated, false information is given, the stay abroad is not started or the documents to be submitted are not submitted on time and/or repaid in part if the stay abroad is cancelled or shortened prematurely. Funding for stays of less than 3 months abroad is generally not possible.
  • The application will be available online from 1st July under Forms and must be sent to the International Office until 1st August for the winter semester and 15th December for the summer semester.

The decision on your application will be communicated to you in October via a grant notification. The grant notification is also used for submission to the tax office.

During your ERASMUS + stay, you should study at the host university in accordance with your study plan, take exams and show proof of your studies at the host university through certificates.

Changes to your length of stay, study plan, bank details or your correspondence address must be reported to the International Office immediately. The subsidy must be repaid in full or in part if your stay abroad is not started, is terminated prematurely or if the required documents are not handed in.

At the end of your stay abroad, we expect you to hand in a statement about your stay abroad, an evaluation survey, a letter of confirmation about the exact time of study at the host university and a transcript of records.

Attention

Failure to meet the submission deadlines for the required documents may result in the ERASMUS + grant being reclaimed!
