Support for implementing your project idea

Would you like to organise a clothes swap or a repair day for electrical appliances? Or even plan a sustainability week with lots of activities, workshops and lectures, but you don't know how to realise it?
The sustainable project cheques enable all students and student initiatives to implement their own projects at the university. The Green Office would like to support you. You can apply as a group or as an individual.
All projects that promote sustainability at the university are welcome. The understanding of sustainability is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)External link. This means that not only projects that reduceCO2 emissions or promote biodiversity, for example, are welcome, but also those that improve social coexistence at the university.
Requirements for participation:
- You are enrolled at the university
- Send the application form below with details of the project and required funds to nachhaltigkeit@uni-jena.de by 31 January 2025
- Interview with the Green Office to implement the project
- After completion of the project: submission of receipts and a short report of one to two A4 pages providing information on the progress and long-term implementation of the project

What are sustainable project cheques?
The sustainable project cheques enable students and student initiatives to implement their own projects at the university that promote sustainability. The university supports the project with up to €1.000.

What kind of projects are supported?
The programme supports projects that promote sustainability at the university. This can include a wide range of projects that are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)External link. This includes not only projects that reduceCO2 emissions or promote biodiversity, but also those that improve social coexistence at the university.

Who can apply?
Anyone who is enrolled at the university can apply.

How to apply?
To apply, you must complete the application form and send it to nachhaltigkeit@uni-jena.de. The form should include information about the project and the funding required.

Until when can I apply for the project cheques?
The application deadline for the project cheques is 31.01.2025.

Will I receive further support for my project in addition to financial support?
Yes, the Green Office offers advisory support for the implementation of the projects. For example, the Green Office can put you in touch with the right contact persons or continue the project once it has been completed.

How can I collaborate on a project if I don't have my own project idea?
Get in touch with the Green Office and we will put you in touch with projects that still need personnel support.
