Since the publication of the so called China Science Investigation in May 2022 at the latest, there has been a recurring debate in Germany about whether (and if so, how) it is still possible to cooperate scientifically 'with China' in times of increasingly fierce systemic competition. The analysis of qualitative interviews with scientists shows that German-Chinese scientific cooperation is particularly successful where there is a long-term investment in trusting relationships at an interpersonal level.

The lecture will last around 45 to 60 minutes, followed by a discussion and the opportunity to ask questions.

Participation is possible in presence in lecture hall 24 on the first floor of the main university building (Universitätshauptgebäude, UHG) and via Zoom.

The lecture will be held in German.
