Friedrich Schiller University Jena is once again one of the most popular German universities this year. In the rankingExternal link published today by the student portal "StudyCheck", it is ranked third out of 41 universities with more than 15,000 students. In a neck-and-neck race, only the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Technical University of Munich, neither of which are comprehensive universities, came in just ahead.
According to its students, the University of Jena is once again one of the most popular institutions of higher education in Germany and has once again been awarded the title of "TOP University" by "StudyCheck". Around 83,000 student evaluations were analysed for the ranking. Around 95 per cent of students at the University of Jena recommend their institution of higher education to others.
"We are the most popular comprehensive university in Germany with more than 15,000 students," says a delighted Prof. Dr Karina Weichold, Vice-President for Learning and Teaching at the University of Jena. "Our University has even improved on last year's already excellent result in the students' judgement in many aspects. This is high praise for all teaching staff and proves that Jena is an excellent place to study."
