The seminar will take place in two blocks:
- Technology and knowledge transfer in export control (14.04.2025, 14:00-15:30)
- Efficient handling of the export control goods lists (28.04.2025, 14:00-15:30)
The sessions can be attended individually.
However, for recognition within the elective module of the China Competence Certificate, participation in both sessions is required to earn a total of 4 teaching units (TU).
Target group: University administration in Thuringia, scientists from research institutions, including non-university institutions in Thuringia

Duration: Lecture followed by a Q&A session

About the speaker:
Jochen Kuck is admitted as a lawyer and in-house lawyer. He has worked for several years as in-house counsel in the field of export control in a major German research institution and as an independent lawyer. He has particular experience in the specialised context of academia. He is intensively involved in the field of research security, particularly with regard to co-operations with China. He has already conducted numerous training courses on export control law and its implementation at academic institutions specifically for various research institutions and universities, including in 2023 for the three profile lines of the University of Jena.
