Information

Attending two lectures from the China Competence lecture series can be credited towards the China Competence Certificate with 4 teaching units (TU) in the elective module.

E-commerce via the Taobao platform is reaching China's rural villages, and direct marketing is making it more lucrative to stay in the countryside rather than seeking work as a migrant laborer. What is happening in these villages, and how is this economic shift transforming rural areas?

The lecture will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes (in German), followed by a discussion and an opportunity for questions.

Participation is possible in person at the auditorium in the Haus zur Rosen (within the premises of the Graduate Academy) or via Zoom.
