Surveys made easy (07 March): LimeSurvey at a glance - short introduction
Surveys have become an integral part of the university environment. Not only can they provide important impetus for teaching and research, they can also initiate improvements.
LimeSurvey is a central tool for the professional creation and realisation of online surveys. Thanks to the extensive design options, LimeSurvey can be used for different scenarios (e.g. simple questionnaires, complex surveys with conditional components). A separate installation is not necessary for use.
In the course you will receive a brief introduction to all the important functions and settings.

Storing data correctly (28 March): Storage services at the data centre
Data is generated, processed, updated and stored in many places. The stored data ranges from simple Word documents that are updated every day, to centralised research and simulation data, to entire databases that are simply archived.
Depending on the information actually stored, the basic storage requirements and the desired retrieval options, various storage services are available at the computer centre.
This event is aimed at anyone who wants to store data centrally in the university network. In particular, it is aimed at researchers, teaching staff, those responsible for information processing (IVV) as well as employees and secretarial staff. -
Stumbling blocks on the web (04 April): Basic course on the accessibility declaration
A few years ago, numerous websites and blogs began to deal with the topic of "accessibility". Practicable solutions for people with impaired vision or hearing, comprehensibility of content and manual operability are the main focus here.
The implementation guideline on accessibility includes the obligation to prepare an accessibility statement as an important component. A corresponding assessment must be made annually on the basis of numerous test steps. Test steps include contrast settings, the use of read-aloud functions, operation of user interfaces without the use of a mouse or videos with subtitles.
