The Thuringian examinations office for teacher training (branch office in Jena) is responsible for admissions to examinations, examination management related to the first state examinations, any additional examinations, and examinations in another subject for teacher training (“Regelschule” or “Gymnasium”). The branch office organizes examinations at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar, the Bauhaus University of Weimar, and at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Erfurt.

The Internship Office assists student in arranging preparatory work placements and organizes their practical semester. It reviews the admission requirements for the practical semester and assigns the given schools to the students. The employees advise students before and during their practical semester. The team keep in touch with the state education authorities, the school management as well as with education coordinators and teachers at respective schools. The internship office is the first point of contact for any questions related to their practical semester in school.
