The following regulations apply to scholarship holders who receive funding from DAAD for a period of study, research visit or practical experience in Germany, or who are due to be funded in the coming days and weeks. Different rules may apply to individual scholarship programmes. You will receive separate information in this case.
If you are unable to return to your home country as a result of the current situation and
your scholarship ends on 31 May, for example, and you are unable to secure funding in
Germany, please contact your DAAD section immediately. Under certain conditions, the DAAD can, in such emergency situations, continue to pay the scholarship on a monthly basis until it is possible for you to leave Germany (see application form [doc-Datei]External link). Your insurance coverage, which includes benefits in the event of a pandemic, also remains in place.
