Want to get a taste of university life? It couldn’t be easier!

Finding the right degree programme can be a long process. It’s worth taking advantage of various events and services to get more information about studying. Our Discovery Days are a highly practical way to get a feel for university life.

What are Discovery Days?

Students during the lecture

Come and see what it’s like to be a student for a day or two – listen in on lectures, attend seminars and talk to our teaching staff and students. That’s exactly what our Discovery Days are about!  You will gain an insight into the content of a degree subject, our teaching and of course the lecture theatres at the University of Jena. This can help you make a decision, for example if you have several subjects to choose from or if you would like to get an idea of the content covered in a certain subject – or it can help you nail down a choice of subject.

Who can take part in Discovery Days?

Which courses can I attend?

You can select any of the courses listed in our schedule of classes for pupilsExternal link. You will have to register with us before attending the relevant courses. Unfortunately, you cannot attend any courses that are not included in our Discovery Days.  You can only attend courses during lecture periods and after registering for our Discovery Days:
