The Arabic course introduces modern Arabic script and prepares you for the first simple dialogues in Arabic. We practise the basic skills of writing and reading as well as listening and speaking.

We will sharpen our senses and enter the fascinating oriental world by means of the Arabic script. You will train your basic skills and learn about modern Arabic grammar. Maybe, you will find a new way to language and rhythm through the unfamiliar sounds and intonation; discovering characteristics that you did not know of before. Insider knowledge concerning Arabian cultures may show you unknown facets of Islamic thinking.

Please plan to take at least two semesters of Arabic language, as we will get to know the script before we start to practise the basic skills and grammar. Calligraphy is itself a mysterious and independent art form.
