Please note that you have to take the placement test at the beginning of the semester in order to participate in our courses.

Our courses for Business English are primarily for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Depending on capacity, the courses are also open to students of other faculties, Doctoral/ PhD students of the University Jena, students and Doctoral/ PhD students of other German institutes of higher education, employees of the FSU, as well as guests de.

The courses range from level B1 to C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Thus, advanced participants who want to improve their English skills with the focus on Business English, as well as experts who want to gain additional skills in Business English can find suitable courses.

If you take a course as part of the Basismodul Fremdsprachen für Studierende der Wirtschaftswissenschaften (BW 36.3), it will run over two semesters. You will obtain 6 ECTS points if you pass the course. Students of other faculties, international students, or students who already took the Basismodul can participate for one extra semester and gain 3 ECTS points after passing this course.

Notice

Students who are taking a Business English course as part of their obligatory language module (BW36.3) are exempt from paying the course fee. Students who are taking a Business English course as an option will need to pay and information about how to do this can be found here. de
