Subject-specific courses

The Language Centre offers English courses which focus on particular subjects. They are useful for students who are B2 level and above (according to the CEFR), especially if you plan to take advanced courses in your study programmes as these often require a wider range of reading skills and advanced vocabulary to facilitate engagement with international publications and issues.

If you feel that the courses below do not cover your requirements, or you would like to have a course offered in your subject area, please contact us so that we can consider adding new courses.

Notice

Some faculties require evidence of subject-specific English. Please check your faculty's study regulations to make sure you are choosing a course that will be recognised.
