Jena microbiologist Johanna Kirchhoff has been awarded "Deutscher Studienpreis 2020" (German Study Prize 2020). She was honoured for her dissertation on the topic of antibiotic resistance with one of the three top prizes for excellent dissertations with outstanding relevance to society.
