Over the past months, a Senate task force has developed a draft for the new mission statement of the University of Jena, which will be presented to the university public on Monday, 16 November. The mission statement dialogue will be streamed live from the studio of the Multimedia Centre starting at 2 pm and all employees, lecturers and students of the university are invited to participate and to get an idea of the process so far. There will be various ways of getting involved – for example, through a chat where questions can be sent to the members of the task force.
Even before the event, you have the opportunity to actively participate in the mission statement process. On 23 October, an online survey was launched to find out what university members think should definitely be included in the mission statement. How do you perceive the University of Jena as a place to study and as a workplace? Where do you see strengths or potential for improvement? Which values are particularly important to you?
The results of the survey will be evaluated by the members of the Senate task force during the mission statement dialogue. Click hereExternal link to go directly to the survey, in which you can participate until 12 November. The mission statement team is looking forward to a wide participation.
