Exercise and nutrition are two important building blocks to stay healthy and productive. A wide range of new and innovative exercise and health initiatives are constantly launched by the University Sports Centre. We are also developing measures to help our employees to eat well at work and raise awareness of a healthy diet.

The well-known Company run takes place at Jena Paradies-Park.
The University Sports Centre offers free running courses as preparation during spring. Highlight is the shared experience as one team running together. The University bears the expenses for participation.

Each of us has heard about the famous 10,000 steps for health and thought, wow, I can do that too, only to discover later that 10,000 steps in a working day with office work is quite a lot. But it does not always have to be 10,000 steps. To achieve a health-promoting effect, 6,000 steps are enough. To achieve this, after a long, tiring day at work, you can simply take a relaxing walk or walk home from work instead of using the car or public transport.
In order to get a feeling for your daily step count, we have pedometers available for you to borrow.
