We organize various health campaigns and activity days to bring our employees one step closer to a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of our health initiatives.

Healthy Eating Day
Employees at Friedrich Schiller University Jena were able to participate in a Healthy Eating Day with the slogan ‘All About Sugar!’ on 19 November 2019.
The focus of the Healthy Eating Day was on the consumption and effects of sugar.
We welcomed a large number of exhibitors from the health sector, and there were interesting presentations, workshops and interactive activities, offering the staff at the University of Jena a wide range of information on the topic of sugar.

Health Awareness Day
Employees at Friedrich Schiller University Jena were able to participate in a Health Awareness Day with the slogan ‘Uni Jena… Balanced Lifestyles!’ on 4 April 2019.
Those who took part in the Health Awareness Day focused on the ideas of stress management and prevention as important requirements for a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to presentations and workshops, our employees could choose from a wide range of activities. The stands in the exhibition area provided staff at the University of Jena with information and advice, interactive activities and health checks for various aspects of health and stress.

Water Day
We launched our TRINK WASser! campaign to make our employees aware of healthy drinking habits. Our employees at different locations were given information and tips about drinking water, bioelectric impedance analysis and a campaign water bottle.

Health conference
Our inaugural health conference took place in November 2017 to promote health and well-being at the University of Jena by identifying and using resources. The conference provided a forum for exchange and networking aimed at scientists from the university who deal with the topic of health promotion. The aim of our inaugural health conference was to identify and network the resources available to promote health and well-being at the University of Jena and to transfer our research findings and theoretical knowledge to the specific practice of promoting health and well-being at the University.
