Research Fellowships
Scientists and scholars of all disciplines and nationalities are eligible to apply, provided that they have an academic cooperation partner (host).

Fellowship payments
The fellowship is paid directly to the research fellow by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
Lump sum for materials
If your institute hosts a research fellow and is granted a lump sum for materials from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, please have a cost unit for the use of the funding set up in the Division for Finances and Purchasing. Please contact the Staff Unit External FundingExternal linkDE in the Division for Finances and Purchasing to set up a third-party funding account for project administration (posting and mapping of income and expenses). Once the cost unit has been set up by the Division and the corresponding document granting authority to issue orders and certify the accuracy of facts and accounts ('Anordnungs- und Feststellungsbefugnis') has been issued by the institution, you will receive access to the SuperX booking system. Please refer to the grant notification from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for information on the use of the lump sum for materials.
