Support programme for scientific exchange for female early career researchers

The Friedrich Schiller University is committed to the objective of equal opportunitues for women and men in science and will therefore support scientific activities and qualification of female researchers.  

Support programme ProChanceexchange The objective of this programme line is to enhance the scientific interactions and increase the noticeability and scientific qualification of female scientists. The Friedrich Schiller University offers its female doctoral candidates and  its female postdocs financial support for smaller research stays, publication costs and participation in workshops and summer schools.  

Eligibility
Female postdocs as well as female doctoral candidates at Friedrich Schiller University, as long as they are not employed by a research institution external to the university, may apply.  

Type and scope of funding
Expenses of up to € 1,000 may be provided within a period of two years. Only one applicant per year is accepted. Such funds must be used in compliance with the budget guidelines of the Free State of Thuringia and Friedrich Schiller University.  

Application form and type
Applications should made using the application form. A CV and list of publications should be attached. Female doctoral candidates require a letter of support by their supervisor.

Applications can be submitted ongoing, but at least six weeks prior to the date of intended utilisation of funding.
